"We'll Work Together to Defeat the Opposition in 2023" - Bibiire

By Yinka Fagbile

The Bibiire Political Family, a socio-political movement in the All Progressives Congress, (APC) on Friday, organized a "Thank You Meeting" turned reunion for all lovers and supporters of the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Local Government and Community Affairs, Hon. Bolaji Kayode Robert, in appreciation of their long-standing support down through the years.

The event which was held in 'Galilee', the residence of the Special Adviser in Oto-Awori, witnessed a large attendance of political leaders, women, and youths within the Ojo federal constituency, and clerics from the mainstream religions.

Speaking, Hon. Kayode (Bibiire) expressed appreciation to traditional rulers in the area and enjoined everyone to appreciate the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, and the political leadership in Lagos State for investing so much in infrastructure and political development of the area leading to the emergence of the Lagos APC Chairman and himself among other ongoing multifarious constructions and infrastructural benefits.

"The opposition has no place in our communities, how many are they and what is their strength in Lagos? Governor Sanwo-Olu has performed creditably well. So, with all arsenal at our disposal and your unalloyed support, we shall defeat and deflate them come 2023", Bolaji said.

Hon. Kayode urged all party members to work vigorously for the APC by voting en mass for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and Governor Sanwoolu as President and Governor respectively, as well as other candidates of the party including Senatorial, House of Representatives, and House of Assemblies in the local government and across the state.

Speaking earlier in his sermon and prayers, the Chief Imam of Oto-Awori, Fadilat Sheik Taofeek Arogundade prayed for God's continued upliftment of the Special Adviser and enjoined all lovers and supporters of the Bibiire brand to demonstrate their long-term commitment to his politics by contributing their huge votes to ensure the total victory of the APC in the 2023 General Elections.

The event which was held in an atmosphere of comradery and razzmatazz also witnessed the presentation of awards, display of appreciation banners, attendance of notable political leaders, foot soldiers, admirers, community residents, and well-wishers cutting across Ojo LGA, Iba, and Oto-Awori LCDA.

Rising from the occasion, members agreed to work together with the leaders adding that there would be a follow-up meeting with more enlarged numbers to chart common causes and define strategies for defeating the opposition in the next elections.

OJELABI: LEADING WITH VISION AND INTEGRITY – A RESPONSE

We have taken notice of recent publications and attacks on our frontline and well-respected Leader, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State by a few misguided persons masquerading as representatives of coalitions in the riverine areas of Ojo Local Government and in particular, Oto-Awori LCDA. The writers seem to suggest that Hon. Ojelabi's decisions are driven by a desire to block others from the riverine communities of attaining prominent political positions in the areas. While we respect their right to free speech, we cannot let their wrong assertions and malicious attempt to misinforming right thinking members of the public go without a response. To set the record straight, a crucial meeting was held by all the political leaders in Oto-Awori LCDA on Thursday, April 24, 2025 where a decision was reached that the duo of Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun, the current Vice Chairman of the LCDA, and Hon. Moses Aina, current leader ...
