APC Adopts Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun as Chairmanship Candidate for Oto-Awori LCDA

In a move to achieving total victory for the Party ahead of the LG Polls, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area has adopted Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun, the current Vice Chairman of the LCDA, as its flag bearer for the forthcoming Local Government elections in Lagos State. This decision was reached on Thursday, April 24, 2025, during a crucial meeting attended by top political leaders.

The meeting, which aimed to prevent conflicts and ensure a seamless electoral process, was attended by prominent figures, including Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, Chairman of the APC in Lagos State; Hon. Bolaji Kayode Robert, Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftancy, and Rural Development; Hon. Surajudeen Tijani (Emir), Member representing Ojo Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly; Hon. Musibau Ashafa, Council Chairman; APC LGA Chairman, Hon. Moses Olaleye, former Lagos Assembly Member, Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi and the Party's Apex Leader in the Council Area, Alhaji Muka.

After thorough deliberations at the meeting, the Party's leadership unanimously adopted Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun's candidacy for the Chairmanship position, with Hon. Moses Aina, current leader of the legislative arm, as his running mate for the Vice Chairmanship position. According to sources at the meeting, the decision of the leaders was a reflection of the party's confidence in Hon. Kareem's leadership abilities and vision for Oto-Awori LCDA.
Reacting to his adoption, Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun expressed profound gratitude to the party leadership and members for entrusting him with the responsibility. He described the gesture as outcome of his dedication, hard work, and commitment to the party's ideals.

"I appreciate the timely intervention of our leaders and the magnanimity shown to me. I do not take this honour for granted. I assure the leadership, party members, and residents of Oto-Awori LCDA that I will put my vast experience and expertise to good use to deliver exceptional results in grassroots governance," Hon. Kareem, stated.

With his wealth of experience and proven track record, Hon. Kareem Azeez assured stakeholders that he will perform creditably when elected into office, itemising his vision for Oto-Awori LCDA which includes: Promoting inclusive governance and community engagement, enhancing local economic development and job creation, improving infrastructure and social amenities, as well as strengthening healthcare and education systems
In response, party members and residents in the Council Area have  hailed the adoption of Hon. Kareem as the APC Chairmanship candidate, adding that it symbolises a great mileage in the party's quest for victory in the forthcoming local government elections. With his leadership skills, experience, and commitment to public service, Hon. Kareem, according to keen political observers, is poised to make a meaningful impact in the lives of people's and residents of Oto-Awori LCDA.
