GROUP MOBILIZES SUPPORT FOR OJELABI, APC CANDIDATES

Political Stakeholders and Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered on Friday in Ojo Federal Constituency, Lagos State, to launch a Political Movement named Ojelabi Support Group (OSG).

The Movement which held its Maiden Meeting at Ilogbo Elegba Town Hall, Oto-Awori LCDA, said its purpose was to mobilize support for the All Progressives Congress as a Party, and its Chairman in Lagos State as the Nation prepares for the 2023 Campaigns and General Elections.

Speaking at the launch, a leader and one of the promoters of the Group, Hon. Azeez Kareem, the Vice Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, said the Movement is established to ensure Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi succeeds in his latest assignment as Chairman of the APC in Lagos State and mobilizes support for all APC Candidates across the board ahead of next year's general elections. 

Hon. Kareem said: "The purpose of the Ojelabi Support Group is to pre-occupy itself with mass mobilization of people at the grassroots to vote all APC candidates across boards, thereby ensuring that the APC Lagos Chairman succeeds in his latest assignment".

Hon. Surajudeen Tijani (Emir) who represents Ojo Constituency ll at the Lagos State House of Assembly also spoke at the event. He eulogized the Lagos APC Chairman as a great mobilizer of his people who must be supported to excel. He declared his support for the group and enjoined all well-wishers to follow suit without compromise. 


'Emir' also called for support for all APC candidates ranging from the President to Senatorial, Governorship, House of Representatives, and Assemblies as the party begins campaigns in September, adding that the people will continue to enjoy the benefits of good governance in the area from all their representatives in government.

The Group which named levels of its leadership structure also announced and introduced some of its principal officers ranging from the Wards to LGAs and at the Federal Constituency Levels as a whole. 

The Ojelabi Support Group seized the opportunity of the Group launch to congratulate Hon. Bolaji Kayode Robert (Bibiire) on his latest attainment as Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, and prayed for his continued success on the new assignment.

Some notable chieftains of the Group who took turns to speak urged members to persuade registered voters, especially in their respective communities and neighborhoods to go for a collection of their PVCs at the INEC office so they could exercise their voting rights during the next elections.


Concluding, the leadership of the political group said they would henceforth commence their general meeting at the zonal, wards, and LGA levels respectively. They encouraged members to win more support for the group by encouraging those who are willing and ready to support the APC and vote for all its candidates.

Present at the Group's launch was the Women Leader of the Movement in Ojo Federal Constituency, Alhaja Amonota Sanni, APC LGA Women Leader in Oto-Awori LCDA, Mrs. Felicia Aribikolasi; Councillors and Supervisory Councillors, Hon(s). Kabir Mumuni, Tekoboh Ajose, Ibukun Falade, Taye Sulaimon, Awoyemi Audu, and many more.

Others present include Ex-political office holders, Party Chieftains, APC Ward Chairmen, LGA Excos, Youth and Women leaders, and select members.
